Sip: Dry River ‘Lovat’ Gewürztraminer

Dry River is one of those wineries from the mist, it has quite a bit of a fabled reputation, whispered of and highly regarded. One to seek out, this is a unique wine from a unique winery and region.

Even if you are not a fan of Gewürztraminer, (and yes it is difficult to say!) this is one to try and appreciate the nuances that this aromatic variety has to offer. Go on… try it, always good to go on a wine adventure!

2010 Dry River ‘Lovat’ Gewürztraminer from Martinborough

This wine is a burlesque dancer, full of heady perfume and voluptuous in all the right ways. While not for everyone, there is a fine art found in its round curves, luscious fruit and rich finish.

Sultry and honeyed it gives you a bit of tropical fruit, minerality that is a fully balanced experience from start to finish.

Cheers,
Emily
